*SCI-FI NIGHT AT THE DOME*  The Future is Fantastic!

Barbarella + Coastadelic With Baron Von Alias & MistaBreeze.

An evening of retro-futurism at the Spanish City Dome for the Whitley Bay Film Festival science fiction night. Visit the future as seen through the rear view mirror of the past.

Downstairs:  Informal sci-fi screenings, soundtrack D.J. and bar.

In The Dome: SCI FI LUNAR LOUNGE.

The Dome will be transformed into the “Sci-fi Lunar Lounge” with an informal screening of the 1968 sci fi classic Barbarella followed by live music from North Tyneside’s premium big band funk ensemble Coastadelic playing the cosmic future sounds of tomorrow and joined by Geordie hip hop time traveller Baron Von Alias & MistaBreeze.

Barbarella: Jane Fonda stars in Roger Vadim’s 1968 cult OTT sci-fi fantasy adventure. The film chronicles Barbarella’s struggle against the evil Durand Durand and his attempt to conquer the galaxy with his planet-destroying device. Set in the 41st century the film is a rollocking space ship ride through late 1960s kitsch.

Remember: Space is the place!
