Last year saw our secret cinema event begin on a red double decker bus with a live band teasing the audience with clues of the film soundtrack. As 70s snacks were handed out a bewildered audience began to guess amongst themselves until the bus pulled up at the Blyth location where the final scenes of Get Carter were fondly remembered with that classic Roy Budd theme. The audience were then whisked off to an atmospherically themed RAOB club in Whitley bay where a cast of regulars played out the bar scene as though transported back to the 70s. Get Carter was screened.
